Division of Gastroenterology

About
Welcome to the Division of Gastroenterology at Northwell Health—recognized globally for its clinical, technical and research expertise in all aspects of gastroenterological and liver diseases. Our goal is to provide the best quality care for the patients in New York and the surrounding area while developing a national and international reputation in key areas with respect to clinical care, education and research.
The Division of Gastroenterology has four parts to its mission: patient care and education; medical education for students, residents and fellows; research and development; and faculty development. Each of these centers on the health and welfare of our patients within Northwell’s gastrointestinal practices.
We have developed and implemented an aggressive plan to develop and expand our areas of excellence in motility, therapeutic endoscopy, gastrointestinal cancers, cancer genetics, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), pancreatic diseases, endoscopic surgery and obesity, as well as to expand the academic fellowship program and research in these important areas.
Through our fellowship and residency programs, we strive to train exceptional gastrointestinal fellows, residents and medical students who, in addition to being excellent clinicians, also have intellectual curiosity and academic potential.
Patients choose us for our world-class care and for the empathy and support that we provide. Our expert gastroenterologists follow the best clinical evidence and clinical practices and also extend medical care to patients’ family members who are at risk for developing gastroenterological disorders.
